A Summer with LHA

Meeting with Maxine

On Monday July 17th, I got to accompy Saskia to Maxine Wolfe’s house in Park Slope, Brooklyn. We wanted to share with her the work we had been doing on the t shirt reorganization and recategorization as Maxine facilitated a big part of the t shirt collection. She also has donated countless t shirts to the LHA collection.

When we got to Maxine’s apartment we stepped down to the front door of the basement apartment of yet another beautiful brownstone in Brooklyn. As I walked into Maxine’s home we were greeted by Maxine, a lovely just slightly older version of the women you see in the photo above. She guided us down the front hallway to her kitchen. A bight room full of books, vintage kitchen supplies, small treasures and a beautiful wooden table. Two big windows let light in and showcased a beautiful private garden right outside. A backdoor led to the garden full of goodness Maxine plants and takes care of.

As we sat down at the table Maxine placed a dish of black and white cookies in the middle of the table for us to snack on.

Saskia started by showing Maxine a print out of my example of what the updated setup in Presto will hopefully look like": (image from dropbox worksheet here). It is a clear breakdown of all the needed information when researching and simply just browsing these t shirts
